ABOUT ME
As if. Imagine if you can, a reservoir of images and words that have accumulated over the years until, at last, the flow slips over the dam to find the world.
That’s me, sort of, but there’s more that goes back to drumming at 13, to Top of the Pops, to travelling the world, to wife and family, to….
It started with collage, just gathered images that in some weird way sat and played with each other on a page.
And they found new friends in paint and gravy and sand and … all sorts, before they hid themselves in frames…
Or grew up to become paintings on their own.
It must be age because I would never have put a harp, viola, cello and flute on a rock song in my youth.
Maybe this is what it means to grow up with your music.
Funny how almost everyone turns their nose up at poetry yet it probably says more about us and our ideas than all the sentences you might care to create. Try mine and then have a go at your own.
